When: Monday through Friday
Drop off: 8:00AM
Pick up: 3:30 to 4PM
Extended Care: 4PM to 5PM ($15/$10 for non-members/members)
Students can be registered for one of the following 3 groups (groups may change in order accomodate grade distributions):
Please park in the Science Center/Riverfront Garage. Parking is free for the first 20 minutes ONLY for Exploration Camp drop off's and pickups. Please inform parking attendant when leaving.

Day Programs (School Vacation Weeks)
Connecticut Science Center’s Vacation Exploration Camps provide your children with hands-on science enrichment through fun and engaging activities.
Your child can explore a different science activity each day during the week or come just for one day! A fun-filled week includes structured activities with staff scientists and counselors plus, supervised free time to explore the Science Center’s galleries and exhibits.
- $57 per day for Members and Corporate Members
- $60 per day Employees of Businesses in Downtown Hartford
- $63 per day for Non-members
Monday, January 20, 2014-Martin Luther King Jr. Day – Roller Coaster Mania
Take a wild ride on the coaster of your dreams! Build real and virtual roller coasters filled with loops, turns, twists, and excitement. Then, view a simulated roller coaster in 360-degree glory in our new Discovery Space Lab.

Monday, February 17 – Secrets of the Pyramids
How did the the Egyptians construct magnificent pyramids without modern machinery, and what was the function of these monuments? Explore these mysteries and build your own pyramid, then learn more about Egypt’s glittering past in Lost Egypt, presented by United Technologies. (Lost Egypt opens February 4.)
Tuesday, February 18 – Lego Fest
Can you build a Lego® machine to help you do chores? What about a Lego® vehicle that is capable of independent movement? Use gears, pulleys, levers, axels and wheels to engineer your own Lego® masterpiece!
Wednesday, February 19 – Robot Realm
Get ready to program robots, from household helper robots to our humanoid robot. Use programmable NXT bricks to give commands to a Lego® robot and complete a challenge. Repeat campers can use previous knowledge to tackle harder challenges.
Thursday, February 20 – Sounding off on Science
What makes sound, and what turns sound into music? Discover how string, wind, brass, and percussion instruments work and make your own instrument to take home. Whether you are a beginner, an expert, a musician or a scientist, be prepared to get noisy!
Friday, February 21 – Mummies Unwrapped
Mummies aren’t only from Egypt! Archaeologists have found preserved bodies around the globe, from familiar Pharaohs to Bog Bodies to mummified cats and crocodiles. Take a peek at real mummies in Lost Egypt, presented by United Technologies. (Lost Egypt opens February 4.)
