‎Special thanks to our Rainforest Sponsor, United Technologies Corporation, and Toucan Sponsor, UTC Power, for developing our very own Hydrogen Fuel Cell. This technology made us the first science center or museum in the country to generate the majority of its energy needs on-site with a clean, environmentally-friendly energy source. KUDOS UTC!

Saint Francis Hospital
Did you know that you can now hold your place in line at the ER at Saint Francis Hospital? Their efficient and innovative new service, InQuicker, offers patients with non-life-threatening conditions a way to check-in and wait online for ER care right from home. In addition to this, Saint Francis also practices a number of "green"-initiatives and conservation efforts.

Aetna
Aetna has created a new way to save lives with the "Blue Button" option on their member websites. Personal health records can be securely downloaded into a simple text file making life easier for both patients and caregivers. KUDOS to Aetna and thank you for supporting The Green Gala on October 22.

TicketNetwork
At TicketNetwork it’s important to be eco-conscious. Through their "green" initiatives they’ve reduced their carbon footprint by 20%! The energy produced by their solar panels is equivalent to removing the emissions of three cars. During the spring and summer months, a garden located on Ticket Network’s property supplies many of the vegetables used in their kitchen. KUDOS to TicketNetwork and thank you for sponsoring The Green Gala 2011 on October 22.

Barnes Group
Barnes Group is a worldwide contributor of precision components and operating systems to various industries. They have been pioneers in their industry-having many “firsts”, including first to launch a formal “Green” products catalog. Kudos to Barnes Group and thanks for sponsoring The Green Gala 2011 on October 22!

HB Group
HB Group, the wizard behind the high-tech production aspects of The Green Gala 2011, is as committed to making an impact backstage as well as onstage. They’ve changed over all their office and warehouse lighting to be environmentally friendly, and they are moving to a paperless office. KUDOS, HB Group!

Pitney Bowes
Pitney Bowes' new innovation, “Volly,” will help consumers save time and money, reduce clutter in their lives, and get organized. It’s a secure, opt-in digital delivery service that will empower consumers to receive, view, organize and manage household account statements, pay bills, and more. We’re so there! Kudos and thanks for sponsoring The Green Gala 2011.

The Hartford Financial Services Group
With an estimated 27,000 electric vehicles hitting the roads in 2011, The Hartford Financial Services Group installed electric charging stations at its campuses in Hartford, Simsbury, and Windsor for employees and visitors seeking more efficient commuting options. The Hartford is one of the first companies in the area to do this. KUDOS! and special thanks for sponsoring The Green Gala on October 22.

Connecticut Business Systems
Connecticut Business Systems, a Xerox company and The Green Gala 2011 sponsor, saves paper (and trees) by transacting with their customers electronically. CBS also supplies Xerox printers that are designed to limit environmental contaminants through solid ink technology as well as encourage easy cartridge recycling. GREEN KUDOS and special thanks to CBS!

Connecticut Light & Power
Two ospreys named "Light" & "Power" live on a utility pole near Branford High School. They got their names after their nest caught fire and CL&P workers installed a new utility pole and special nesting platform for the birds. KUDOS to CL&P for your outstanding green efforts and special thanks to the Northeast Utilities Foundation and CL&P for your support as the Waterfall Sponsors of The Green Gala 2011.

United Technologies Corporation
We welcome United Technologies Corporation as the Rainforest Sponsor of The Green Gala 2011 on October 22 from 7-11PM and thank them for their continued support. s UTC also gets MAJOR Green Kudos for producing the Science Center's very own clean and green hydrogen fuel cell that powers our building. Kudos UTC!
