Homeschool Day

Homeschool Day at the Connecticut Science Center

Join other Homeschool teachers and students for a day full of fun and learning. Experience the Science Center and take advantage of the many educational resources we have for you and your children. Each day is themed and appropriate for Pre K- 8th Grade. Sign up for our Discovery Center Lab program to learn with other Homeschool students in a classroom setting.

Thursday, March 22, 2012: Robots

General Admission
9AM – 5PM

FREE with Membership / $9 Non-Members. Regular parking rates apply.
Includes all day admission to the Connecticut Science Center galleries and exhibits plus special themed exhibit gallery programs. This will be a non-stop day of hands-on experiences in the practical application of artificial intelligence.

Discovery Center Lab Program - Rambling Robots
9:45AM, 11AM & 1PM

($6 additional fee. Space is limited. Please pre-register or sign-up upon arrival)
In this 45 minute classroom experience, you will learn the fundamentals of Robotics as you program real microprocessor-controlled Robots. Program your robot to perform a variety of challenges and tasks!

3D Movies

Let’s do lunch!
12 Noon to 1PM

A reserved lunch area in the Science Center Community Room is available from 12 Noon to 1PM. Meet and interact with other Homeschool teachers and students. A full selection of sandwiches, soups, salads and gourmet delights are available for purchase at our Café or you may bring your own bagged lunch.
