The Connecticut Science Center represents a bold new step for Connecticut, and for America. Rising from our site along the Connecticut River in Hartford, a stunning new symbol of innovation, learning and vitality will inspire the next generation of researchers, discoverers, inventors, healers, teachers, and better informed citizens.

Our Mission
The Connecticut Science Center is dedicated to inspiring lifelong learning through interactive and innovative experiences that explore our changing world through science.

With the urgency of international competition for science, inventions and talent, as well as the imminent demand for students and schools to meet new science education standards, the Center will be a vital new resource at a critical time. We will take science out of the textbook and bring it to life in our exhibit halls, our outreach programs, and our theaters. There will be something for everyone - whether you are 2 or 102.

A visit to the Center will mean high impact learning experiences in a green, clean, bright, and stimulating environment that is at once functional, efficient, warm and friendly. Families and individuals alike will find entertainment and educational value in hands-on, engaging, and exciting exhibits and programs that emphasize current science and science you can use every day. We’ll provide comprehensive coverage of all areas of science, with opportunities for families, students, adults and teachers to go in-depth on favorite topics.
