Behnisch, Behnisch & Partner is one of Germany’s most esteemed architectural practices, and a leading proponent of sustainable design. Founded in Stuttgart, Germany more than 50 years ago, BB&P has brought a light, transparent and modern approach to a wide variety of projects.
Stefan Behnisch, a founding partner in BB&P, established the firm’s Los Angeles office in 1999, and has led as the firm’s Principal Partner for many of BB&P’s award winning projects. He spearheads the firm’s “green” design practice and has made numerous presentations on sustainable design as a keynote speaker at conferences all over the world.

Significant projects include the recently completed and highly acclaimed Genzyme Center in Cambridge, MA, and the Museum of Fantasy in Bernried, Germany.

Cesar Pelli & Associates offers a unique combination and a great depth of experience in commissions for major cultural institutions in urban contexts and research and scientific learning environments. They are recognized for designing projects in the public realm that create a sense of place and are inviting and welcoming.

Established in 1977, Cesar Pelli & Associates is a full service architectural practice of some 80 persons. The AIA awarded Cesar Pelli & Associates Architects its 1989 Firm Award in recognition of standard-setting work in architectural design, and Cesar Pelli received the Gold Medal from the AIA in 1995.

Significant projects include the former tallest building in the world, Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the 1984 Museum of Modern Art Expansion in New York City, and the Mystic Marinelife Aquarium expansion completed in 1999.

Moshe Safdie first established his architectural practice in 1964 in Montreal to design and supervise the construction of Habitat ’67. Today, the principal office is in Boston with a staff of 45; branch offices in Jerusalem and Toronto have an additional staff of 15. Currently, the firm is engaged in activities ranging from the design of public institutions – including museums, performing arts centers, libraries, and university campuses – to the design of airports, housing, mixed-use complexes, and new communities.

Over the years, Mr. Safdie has won numerous distinctions and awards for his buildings, including the AIA Honor Award for Outstanding Architecture and the Massey Medal from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.

Significant works include the impressive Exploration Place in Wichita, KA, and new the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA.

Zaha Hadid is one of the premier architects of our time. Earlier this year, she was chosen as the first woman to win the Laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, arguably the most prestigious distinction in architecture.

Ms. Hadid studied architecture at the Architectural Association in London from 1972 and was awarded the Diploma Prize in 1977. She then became a partner of the Office for Metropolitan Architecture and ultimately opened her own architectural studio. She has held many prestigious teaching positions, including serving as a Visiting Professor of Architectural Design for the Spring Semester 2004 at Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut. Her competition entries and built work have continually pushed the boundaries of architecture and urban design.

Recent significant works include the Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art in Cincinnati, OH, the BMW Central Building in Leipzig, Germany, and the Phaeno Science Centre currently under construction in Wolfsburg, Germany.
